Beige marble-effect rug Belfius

A marble pattern

The design imitates polished stone: pale beige patches, sandy swirls and fine grey veins branching across the whole field. There is no repeating ornament and no border, so the rug looks like a single slab. The colour is calm and warm, with no contrasting spots.

Carved pile

The rug is loom-made with a two-level pile. The marble patches are cut higher and shine, while the base between them is lower and matte. The surface therefore changes with the light: by day the rug looks paler, in the evening the relief comes through. Machine production gives a straight edge and the same pattern over the whole area.

Sizes

The model comes in two formats. 160×230 cm suits the space by a sofa or beside a bed; 200×300 cm covers a whole living-room seating area. Other abstract and plain designs are gathered in modern rugs, and the full range is in the rugs and carpets catalogue. For a traditional alternative see classic rugs.

What to pair it with

A marble rug carries the stone theme through a room: place it next to a marble coffee table, porcelain tiles, brass and grey textiles. On dark parquet the light slab stands out especially well.

Care

Vacuum without a beater brush so the glossy areas do not fluff up. Blot stains with a damp cloth and let the rug dry afterwards.
