Wool rug 200×300 burgundy MW 18 Coin

Pattern and colour

The design rests on a large oval of deep burgundy. Trailing vines, leaves and small flowers fill it, and at the very centre sits a navy medallion with a gold-and-cream core. The corners of the field are lighter, with golden scrolls curling on a cream ground. A wide navy border with a floral ornament acts as the frame, separated from the field by narrow burgundy stripes.

Size and material

The 200×300 cm wool rug covers about six square metres. That is enough to leave no bare floor under a sofa and coffee table, or to place a dining table and its chairs fully on the rug. The navy border gathers the pattern into a tidy frame, so the rug looks equally confident on pale oak parquet and on dark laminate.

Care

Vacuum wool along the direction of the pile without a stiff brush. Blot spills at once with a paper towel rather than rubbing. Deep cleaning of a rug like this is best left to a specialist cleaner.
