Bath mat 60×90 Red and Pink Polyester Christmas Cosy

A festive print: gnomes in red hats, deer and fir trees on a light ground, framed by a red and green check and a Merry Christmas line. A seasonal piece: usually brought out for December and put away until next year.

This is a decorative piece for one particular month rather than an everyday mat. The gnome and deer scene works together with the rest of the Christmas textiles — towels, shower curtain, hallway mat. Between seasons store it rolled rather than folded: polyester keeps creases along the folds, and they show against the light ground.

Polyester yarn is dense and smooth, so dirt stays on the surface of the pile instead of working into the base and the mat cleans up faster than a natural one. The same property keeps the colour saturated: synthetics take dye more evenly than cotton.

Wash at 40 °C, without bleach and without ironing. Dry flat or over a rail at full width so the mat is not left with a crease.
