Bath mat 60×90 Red Polyester Raf Coffee

A coffee print on a deep red ground: a large cup with foam and the words Freshly, Cappuccino, Roast and Enjoy It. From the same coffee series as Coffee, but darker and higher in contrast.

The second mat in the coffee series and the darkest of the two: the burgundy ground keeps the print contrasty even in weak light. This one is more often bought for a kitchen — under a dining table or by the coffee machine — than for a bathroom. If the room already has red textiles, match the shade: burgundy sits badly next to a cold scarlet.

Polyester works on speed in a bathroom: the fibre takes almost no water into itself, so the mat dries between the morning and the evening shower and never has time to go damp. Print holds longer on synthetics than on natural fibre, and the pattern does not fade in the wash.

Washing every two or three weeks at 40 °C is enough; in between, shake the mat out and let it dry. Bleach and drying on a hot radiator both shorten the life of the pile.
