Hauteur Lan 35923 is a rectangular 200×300 rug with no second colour at all: the entire pattern is carried by variation in pile height.

Relief instead of ornament

A geometric maze of broken lines runs across the field, somewhere between a Greek key and a chevron. The outlines are cut deeper than the ground, so the design only registers as shadow. That makes the rug change through the day: in morning side light the lines are sharp, under overhead lighting the surface looks almost flat. The tone is a warm grey-beige — the greige that argues neither with oak flooring nor with cool grey furniture.

Which room it suits

In a living room, 200×300 covers a sofa and two armchairs completely, or takes the front legs of the furniture. In a bedroom it is enough for a 160 cm bed to stand on the rug with a margin on both sides. A plain surface earns its place where pattern already exists in the wallpaper, curtains or upholstery.

Wool in the first months

A new wool rug sheds short fibres for a few weeks. These are shearing residues rather than the pile coming loose; a vacuum removes them and the process stops within a month or two. Lanolin in wool repels water, so blot spills immediately before the liquid reaches the backing. Leave wet cleaning to a specialist rug cleaner.
