The second and last long-pile mat in this line. The strands are grey-blue at the root and pale at the tips, so the surface looks dusted with frost. It is noticeably darker and cooler than its steel grey sibling. Polyester, 60×90 cm, $72.

There are three greys in this line and people mix them up constantly. This one is dark, with a distinct blue cast and long strands that lighten towards the ends. Fingers sink in completely and the mark stays until you rake the strands back with a hand.

How it differs from its neighbours. The steel grey mat 60×90 is also long-piled but lighter and warmer, almost white at the tips. The light grey mat is made with short plush and has a completely different texture, smooth and flat. This one looks the most woolly of the three.
A bluish grey settles easily beside a dark headboard, graphite textiles and chrome. It usually goes along the side of a bed or by a sofa, where a bare foot lands on it first.
Remember that this is an imitation: polyester rather than sheep’s wool, and we will not claim the properties of real fur for it. Care means a vacuum without a turbo brush and an occasional shake. Genuine pelts sit in a separate catalogue section.
