Faux fur mat 60×90 steel grey, long pile

Of the thirteen colours in this line only two have the long pile, and steel grey is one of them. The strands fall in loose waves and the tips are lighter than the roots, so the surface looks frosted and shifts as you move past it. The short dense plush of the other eleven mats is not what you get here.

The material is polyester. This is an imitation, not tanned sheepskin; the resemblance rests on strand length and on the cut, where a wavy edge follows a hide outline.

Deep pile shows best off the floor: this mat is often thrown over the seat of a wooden chair, a stool by the window or the back of an armchair. On the floor it goes where people walk barefoot, at the foot of a bed or in a child’s room.

The other long-pile piece is the grey mat 60×90, darker and with a bluish cast. For an even short plush in the same grey family take the light grey version. Bedroom formats live in bedside rugs.
