Silk thread is thin and unusually strong, so the weaver can pack far more knots into the same area, and the pattern can carry detail — thin stems, small leaves, fine outlines — that wool simply cannot hold. Every part of this Sandal rug is knotted by hand.

The palette pairs deep green with sandalwood brown, warm and slightly earthy. Because silk reflects light directionally, the same rug looks darker from one side of the room and lighter from the other, and the border seems to change tone as you cross it. That movement is the reason silk rugs are usually placed where people see them from several angles: a living room, a study, or a bedroom in front of the bed.

At 200×300 cm it fits under a coffee table with the front legs of the sofa on the pile, or fills the free floor of a medium room on its own. The pile is dense, low and cool to the touch.
