An even tone instead of variegation is what separates this hide from the other nine. The hair holds one ginger caramel shade across the whole area, there are no brindle strands, and only a pale line runs along the spine while the legs fade into white.

At 2.60 by 2.40 metres this is the biggest piece in the family, and the size dictates the room. Under a coffee table such an area is half wasted; it makes more sense to give it the centre of a living room, the zone in front of a fireplace, or the space between two sofas where the hide is seen whole. In the third frame it lies on pale parquet, where warm wood and ginger hair sit close together; on a grey floor the contrast would be sharper.
