Pink is rare in classic Persian weaving and it is what makes this Tabriz rug worth a second look. The dye sits between rose and dusty powder rather than anything bright, so the traditional medallion, corner pieces and floral field read as soft and warm instead of decorative for its own sake. It is knotted by hand in Iran from natural wool, with silk worked into the pattern.
