Of all ten hides this one has the largest pattern scale. The strands are not fine, as on most brindles, but wide: a ginger stream, a dark stream, ginger again, and an almost black spine line pulling it all together. From two metres away the pattern reads as movement rather than as ripple.

The proportions are close to square, 2.55 by 2.45 metres across the outer points, so the hide does not stretch a room lengthwise and settles well in the centre, under a light fitting, between a sofa and a fireplace, or over a plain carpet.

This is the most expensive item in the family at $2599. The same ginger brown range in a smaller format and with a white belly is Chocolate Marble, while the darker and redder option is Chocolate Contrast. The shared section is Natural hides.

There is one hide and no copy of it: both the outline and the layout of the strands are unique, and the measurement was taken across its own protrusions, neck and legs included. The leather base fears water, so the piece cannot be washed. On tiles and laminate an underlay is essential and is not included.
